Taipei 101
The Taipei 101 formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, is a supertall skyscraper designed by C.Y. Lee & Partners in Xinyi, Taipei, Taiwan. This building was officially classified as the world’s tallest from its opening in 2004 until the 2010 completion of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Its elevators, capable of traveling 60.6 km/h (37.7 mph) and used to transport passengers from the 5th to 89th floor in 37 seconds, set new records upon completion. In 2011 Taipei 101 received a Platinum rating under the LEED certification system to become the tallest and largest green building in the world. The structure regularly appears as an icon of Taipei in international media, and the Taipei 101 fireworks displays are a regular feature of New Year’s Eve broadcasts.
Taipei 101’s postmodernist architectural style evokes traditional Asian aesthetics in a modern structure employing industrial materials. Its design incorporates a number of features that enable the structure to withstand the Pacific Rim’s earthquakes and the region’s tropical storms. The tower houses offices and restaurants as well as both indoor and outdoor observatories. The tower is adjoined by a multilevel shopping mall that has the world’s largest ruyi symbol as an exterior feature.

Sun Moon Lake
Sun Moon Lake is a lake in Nantou County, Taiwan. It is the largest body of water in Taiwan. The area around the lake is home to the Thao tribe, one of aboriginal tribes of Taiwan. Sun Moon Lake surrounds a tiny island called Lalu. The east side of the lake resembles a sun while the west side resembles a moon, hence the name.
The lake and its surrounding countryside have been designated one of thirteen national scenic areas in Taiwan. Wen Wu Temple was built after rising water levels from building a dam forced several smaller temples to be removed. Ci’en Pagoda was caused to be built by late President Chiang Kai-shek in 1971 in memory of his mother. Other temples of note include Jianjing Temple, Syuentzang Temple and Syuanguang Temple.

Baguashan Mountain
The Baguashan Great Buddha is located in the Baguashan Great Buddha Scenic Area in Changhua. The most symbolic scenic spot in the scenic area is the 23-meter-high giant Tathagata Buddha statue. It is the most representative Buddhist sightseeing spot in Changhua and one of the eight scenic spots in Taiwan.
From the Baguashan Great Buddha Scenic Area to the sky trail of the Life Aesthetics Museum, passing by the lotus ecological area, martyrs’ shrine, baseball field and other scenic spots along the way, you can not only appreciate the ecology of the historic sites, but also experience the fun of walking in the forest. Lukang
Lukang used to be an economic and transportation hub in central Taiwan. The proverb ” Fucheng, Lukang and Manka” explains Lukang’s glorious golden age, and it is a must-visit attraction for tourists in Taiwan. Tianwei Highway Garden
Tianwei Township Highway Garden is known as the “Hometown of Flowers” due to its production of various types and the largest quantity of flowers in Taiwan.
Each store specializes in different themed flowers, plants, trees, and gardening supplies, making the entire city a giant garden and a popular tourist destination in Changhua.

Nantou Puli Zhongtai Temple
Zhongtai Temple, with its magnificent and innovative Buddhist architectural style, is located at the heart of Zhongtai Mountain in Puli Town. Surrounded by mountains resembling petals, the main building is primarily constructed with stone, symbolizing the solidity and eternal nature of spiritual cultivation. When viewed from the side, the main building resembles a practitioner meditating amidst the green hills, while the frontal view resembles a poised jet ready for takeoff, representing the supreme Zen teaching of ” sudden enlightenment of own mind , and thereby reach Buddhahood directly.
