Social Responsibilities

YRMS takes our social responsibilities very seriously – we provide cost-free healthcare and social services to underprivileged villagers:

Free medical treatment for vulnerable patients – YRMS provides free medical treatment for the elderly living alone, vagrants, and socially marginalized people.

YRMS Superintendent Ko-Shih Chang participates annually in the “Winter Feast for Thousands of People around the Stove.” He sponsors 100 tables at a New Year celebration dinner every year, which has benefited thousands of socially marginalized people.

YRMS donates tuition fees and provides free summer camps for disadvantaged students every year.

We sponsor and accompany cancer patients in climbing Jade Mountain to fulfill those dreams: Superintendent Ko-Shih Chang not only provides all the funds for that activity but also organizes a medical team to accompany the cancer patients as they safely climb Jade Mountain.

YRMS promotes low-dose lung cancer screening in Changhua County and provides the largest number offree screening sites and free screenings for police of ficers and firefighters in the county.

We donate funds and provide equipment for the Girls’ tchoukball team of Perpetual Help High School to ensure that those deserving students have the support they need. That high school team has won first place in tournaments in Taiwan and Asia in recent years.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, YRMS has provided emergency relief, delivered medicine to patients, served the elderly and infirm, cared for villagers, and launched a project to ”assist people in distress by giving them employment instead of outright grants”. Additionally, we have provided dozens of employment opportunities to support families who lost their jobs due to the pandemic. In the words of Superintendent Ko-Shih Chang, “although Yuan Rung Medical System has been affected by theProfile of Yuan Rung Medical System pandemic, there are many others who are suffering much more than we are. We feel great sympathy for the vulnerable people who have been economically displaced. We are determined to fulfill our social responsibilities and serve as an example to stimulate the social mutual assistance mechanism so that many more enterprises will assist people in need throughout Taiwan.”
