Using the reflected (echo) waves generated by the interface of different tissues when the sound waves propagate in the human body to diagnosis of diseases of the liver, spleen, pancreas, lymphoid tissue, kidney and adrenal gland.
Patient might have this examination for the follows: abdominal pain, fever, abnormalities of liver and gallbladder data, or abdominal tumors are suspected.
利用高頻音波掃描腹部臟器有無病變，並可協助作穿刺及切片檢查。了解肝膽系統、胰臟疾病、脾臟及淋巴組織、腎臟及腎上腺等系統狀況。病人可能因為各種不同原因而需要安排腹部超音波檢查，包括『腹痛』、『發燒』、『肝、膽指數異常』或是懷疑腹部腫瘤等等。
The method of inspection檢查方式：
The patient usually adopts a flat lying position, but may adopt a sideways tilt depending on the situation. The examiner will apply water jelly on the subject so that the ultrasonic probe will not be disturbed by the air when it touches the body surface. The inspection process must cooperate with the inspector’s instructions to take a deep breath, close, and exhale.
平躺檢查台，鬆開衣物露出腹部，醫師在腹部塗抹水性凝膠，以利檢查，並操作板在腹部滑動檢查，檢查過程無疼痛感，約10-20分鐘可完成。配合醫師指示改變姿勢，按指示作吸氣，閉氣動作。
Notification注意事項：
- Fast for 6-8 hours or depends on doctor’s instructions.
需禁食6-8小時。早上檢查者，前一天晚上12點以後禁食。下午檢查者，當天早餐後禁食。
- Don’t have Gastrointestinal barium examination 2 days before this examination.
接受超音波檢查前2天內不宜接受腸胃道鋇劑攝影，以免影響音波檢查結果。
- Drink 500~800mL of water if you have lower abdominal ultrasound examination and hold back urine to inflate the bladder.
若為下腹部超音波檢查，必要時檢查前喝500~800毫升開水，並禁止小便，使膀胱膨脹以便檢查。
- Except for patients who are fasting, you can eat after the examination.
檢查後可立刻進食，原禁食者例外。
