What is artificial knee 人工膝關節:

Artificial knee is made of metal, high-density plastic and other materials, and is  designed according to the structure and function of human joints. When the doctor assesses that the patient’s joint is damaged and cannot be used, the damaged part will be removed and replaced with a suitable artificial joint.

人工膝關節是由金屬、高密度塑膠等物質,依人體關節的形狀及功用而製成的關節替代品。醫師會評估病人關節受損的情形,切除後置入合適的人工關節。

Notification注意事項:

  1. Change position every 2 hours after surgery, to avoid pressure injury.

手術後每隔二小時翻身,以促進血液循環、避免壓傷產生。

  1. Ice packing the wound for the first 3 days after surgery to stop bleeding, reduce pain.

手術後前三天可冰敷傷口(時間),可止血及緩解痙攣和疼痛。

  1. Elevate the affected limb with pillows, but do not place the pillows under the knee.

使用枕頭抬高患肢,但枕頭勿放於膝窩。

  1. Change wound’s dressing by doctor’s order and don’t apply any medicine on the wound.

避免在傷口塗擦藥物,須遵照醫囑處方換藥。

  1. Eat more protein-containing diet, such as: fish, meat, eggs, milk; vitamin C-containing diet, such as fresh vegetables and fruits to help wounds heal.

多攝取含蛋白質的均衡飲食:如魚、肉、蛋、奶,及維它命C食品:如蔬菜水果,以利傷口修復。

  1. The activities are less within 2-3 days after surgery, drink less (soybean) milk to avoid flatulence.

術後2-3天活動較少時,儘量少喝牛奶及豆漿,以減少腹脹現象。

  1. Tell nurses to give you painkillers when pain.

手術後傷口疼痛時,應主動告知護理師注射止痛藥物,以減輕不適。若您有使用疼痛制器可於疼痛時或活動前按壓『給藥鈕』。

  1. Keep the wound and the skin around clean, do not scratch the wound to avoid infection due to injury.

須保持傷口周圍皮膚清潔,勿用手抓傷口以免破皮造成感染。

  1. Gradually increase out of bed activities and need to be accompanied by others.

下床活動應採漸進式增加的方式,應有家屬陪伴並注意安全預防跌倒。

  1. Do rehabilitation exercises according to the instructions of the medical staff after the operation:
  • 1-2 days after surgery:
  1. Quadriceps exercise: Put legs on flat on the bed, press knees down hard.
  2. Ankle pump exercise: Flexion of the soles of the feet to the dorsum of the foot and the sole of the foot.

手術後依醫生及護理人員指示會做膝關節被動性及主動性運動。

  • 手術後第一、二天的運動:(1)股四頭肌運動:把腿平放於床上,膝部用力往下壓,數五下、放鬆五下,重複多次,可加強股四頭肌的力量。(2)踝部運動:腳掌分別向足背及足底做屈曲動作。
  • 3 days after susrgery:
  1. Knee Straightening – Raising Exercise: Lie on your back, bend the knee of the healthy limb, and at the same time raise the injuried limb straight up, hold for a few seconds and then put it down.
  2. knee straight-bend exercise: Sit on the edge of the bed, place a towel roll under your knee, lift the injured limb as far as you can (with the help of the healthy limb), and then lower it slowly.
  3. Walking: Use a walker to walk with someone else.

第三天以後的運動:(1)腿的伸直抬高運動:平躺、將健肢膝蓋彎曲,同時患肢伸直向上抬高,維持幾秒鐘再放下。初期可由家人協助完成之。(2)膝蓋伸直彎曲運動:坐於床緣,置ㄧ毛巾捲於患膝下,盡力抬起患肢直到伸直為止

(可由健肢協助),然後再慢慢放下。(3)下床走路:使用助行器,由家人陪伴到走廊上散步。

  • 5 days after surgery: Sit on the edge of the bed, put the injuried limb under the healthy limb, let the injuried limb resist the resistance of the healthy limb, try to lift the injuried limb until it is straight, and then lower it slowly.
  • Rehabilitation exercises are performed 3 to 5 times a day, and each movement is performed 10 to 15 times. Please perform it under the guidance of a physical therapist.

第五天以後的運動:坐於床緣,將患肢放於健肢下方,讓患肢抵抗健肢之阻力,盡力抬起患肢直到伸直為止,然後再慢慢放下。
