According to the statistics from Taiwan Healthcare Reform Foundation, implant is the primary reason for medical disputes in dentistry, approximately 30~40% of all the medical disputes in dentistry. The medical disputes can be divided into five categories:
1.Unclear preoperative evaluation
2.Unskilled operation technique
3.Problems with charging
4.Problems with negotiation between patient and dentist
5.Others
According to the statistics above, the ones that can be avoided by the medical profession are clear preoperative evaluation and safe and comforting surgical procedures. Thanks to the improvement of technology, digitized procedures and tools are eventually introduced into dental treatment. How to integrate all the procedures and hardwares, softwares and utilize them on implant to reduce the causes mentioned above (unclear preoperative evaluation and unskilled operation technique) is the goal of the department of dentistry of Yuan Sheng hospital. We integrated the departments and employees related to our goal and introduced the digital procedures and Digital three-dimensional highly precision dynamic implant navigation system, X-Guide (abbreviated into implant navigation system below), linked every digital procedures which are independent in the past, and formed a complete treatment chain, looking forward to giving patients a predictable and safe, comforting implant treatment.
