What is hypoglycemia何謂低血糖?
It occurs some symptoms when the blood sugar below than70mg/dL, or the rapid drop in blood sugar.
指血糖濃度低於70mg/dL,此時易產生低血糖的症狀,但有部份患者其血糖由高濃度急速下降時,雖然血糖值仍然偏高,但也有可能產生類似低血糖的症狀。
Rasons低血糖的原因:
- Overdose of abuse of diabetes medication or insulin.
口服降血糖藥物或胰島素使用過量,或不當使用。
- Eat too little of or not eating for too long.
進食量過少,應進餐時間沒進餐或太晚進餐。
- Inadequate intake of carbohydrates.
正餐飲食只食用菜、肉類,未正確攝取其他含醣類的食材。
- Exercising on an empty stomach or a sudden increase in exercise without eating properly.
空腹運動或突然增加運動量,未能補充食物。
Symptoms症狀:
- Mild hypoglycemia: Hunger, shivering, cold sweat, rapid heartbeat, weakness, dizziness, and etc.
輕微低血糖可能會有:飢餓、發抖、冒冷汗、心跳加快、無力、頭暈…等。
- Severe hypoglycemia: unconsciousness, coma, and etc.
嚴重低血糖會有意識不清、昏迷等情形。
Instruction處理方式:
- Patient with consciousness or mild hypoglycemia: drink sugary drinks, keep warm and go to hospital immediately.
意識清楚者或輕微低血糖:立刻喝含糖飲料後保暖休息立即送醫院治療。
- Uncooperative or coma patient (severe hypoglycemia):
- Keep airway and keep warm.
- Do not force-feed the patient to avoid aspiration pneumonia or choking.
病患不合作或昏迷(嚴重低血糖)時:
注意呼吸道的維持及保暖。
勿強行餵食病患糖水及其他食物,以免吸入性肺炎或嗆到導致窒息。
Prevention如何預防低血糖:
- Take diabetes medicines or have insulin injection appropriate by doctor’s order and have meals on time.
服用降血糖藥或注射胰島素時應注意劑量要正確,並按時進餐。
- Eat in moderation with extra exercise.
有額外的運動,請務必適度補充點心。
- Bring sugar, candies or cookies with you when you go out.
外出時應隨身攜帶方糖、糖果、餅乾等,以備不時之需。
- Regular blood sugar measurement.
經常監測血糖。
