- If the ablation is successful processed, you will be transferred to the intensive care unit for observation of vital signs and monitoring for any arrhythmias, as per the doctor’s instructions.
- After the procedure, you may try drinking water. If there are no discomforts, you may proceed to eat.
- Apply pressure with sandbags on both groin areas for 4-6 hours. Avoid raising the head and keep the affected knee straight without bending.
- Keep the incision clean and dry, and be mindful of any stickiness or moisture (indicating a tendency for bleeding).
- If you need to cough or sneeze, press on the incision to prevent bleeding.
- After an appropriate rest period of 8 hours, you may start getting out of bed and engaging in activities.
- The day after the procedure, a nurse will assist in changing the dressing at the puncture site.
- Schedule a follow-up visit one week after the procedure and adhere to the doctor’s instructions for timely examinations.
- Pay attention to any discomfort such as palpitations, chest tightness, or shortness of breath. If experienced, you should return for follow-up and monitoring.
- You can resume all previous activities and have a normal diet.
- On the day after discharge, you may remove the dressing at the puncture site. Be mindful of any delayed bleeding or hematoma formation. If experienced, please return for prompt medical attention.
