- To avoid choking, you may rinse your mouth within an hour after the examination, but it is not allowed to drink or eat anything. You may sip a little bit of water in an hour after. If there’s no uncomfortable, start to eat.
為避免嗆到，檢查後一小時內可漱口、禁喝水或進食，一小時後先喝少許的水，若沒有嗆到或其他不適，才可以開始進食。
- Some people may feel uncomfortable, such as dizziness and nausea, duo to the medicines were used during the examination (Xylocaine and simethicone). Some may feel dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, blurred vision, or heart palpitations for temporary due to the intravenous medicine- Butylscopolamine, that was used before the examination. Notify your doctor if the symptoms persist.
檢查時含於口中的局部麻醉劑(xylocaine)及口服消泡劑(simethicone)，少數人可能會有暫時不適(如頭暈、噁心等)。檢查前使用之注射藥物Butylscopolamine，少數人可能會有頭暈、噁心、口乾、視力模糊或心悸等暫時性之副作用。若症狀持續請向醫師報告。
- After the examination, if the obviously pain over abdominal and substernal, bleeding signs (vomiting blood, tarry stool or bloody stool and etc.), please notify your doctor or return to emergency room for treatment. The short-term throat ache would disappear in 1-2 days. If the symptom persists, please notify your doctor for further treatment.
檢查後若有明顯腹痛、胸骨下痛、出血(如：吐血或解黑便、血便等)情形，請向醫師報告或回急診處處理。若有短暫一兩天的喉嚨不舒服時，大都會自然消退，但若仍持續喉嚨痛時，請聯絡醫師作適當處理。
- Endoscopic hemostasis, such as hemostasis with electric cautery or hemostatic clips for ulcer or abnormal vessels’ bleeding, and hardening or ligation of venous aneurysm bleeding. To avoid bleeding again after treatment, please fist and observe, check vital signs under doctor’s consultation. Start to eat liquid, soft diet step by step after doctor’s permission.
使用胃鏡止血，包括：對潰瘍之血管出血、血管異常之出血施以注射治療或用熱探子、電燒、止血鉗等治療、及靜脈瘤出血之硬化或結紮治療後，為避免治療後再次出血，請先暫時禁食觀察，由醫師判斷若有需要時，給予必要的生命徵象監測，經醫師研判出血確實停止後，才可以遵照醫囑指示開始依序進食流質、軟質食物。如食道靜脈瘤結紮治療後，開始進食後前三天為流質食物、而後一週內以軟質食物為主。
- Do not drive or ride any transportation within 24 hours after anaesthetization.
麻醉後24小時內禁止駕駛任何交通工具。
